God’s Purpose: 081021

“Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners-of whom I am the worst.”  1Timothy 1:15

Before I became a disciple, this scripture never made sense because I never read the Bible. However, after I became a disciple on 7/11/21, I started to read the Bible every day and this was one of the scriptures that stood out after I got to the book of 1 Timothy. I would read whole books of the New Testament in one sitting in the morning when I woke up between 5-7am. Now I am focusing on my 40-Day packet that gives me daily scriptures to read and questions to answer and applications to apply to my life. I just finished my day 30th today.

My life has been 180 degrees sober since I’ve been off of everything, including cigarettes, for some time. I have been walking with God, and Jesus is 100% the way, the truth, and the life for me. I put on the whole armor of God every day and use my time to share my faith as often as possible whether it be in person or on social media or through the phone. A disciple’s purpose is to make disciples like it says in Matthew 28, so that’s my God given purpose that I choose to live by because I love spreading the Truth.

If you are reading this post, feel free to reach out to me and set up a bible study or go out to church at Dallas ICC with me and the brothers. I love you and above all Jesus loves you. God bless you.

Good News: 040522

As of recently, I got off probation (finally after 6 long years, thank God, hallelujah) on February 12th, 2022, and I was born on October 17, 1994, but the day I was really born was July 11, 2021. From the beginning of time God created the Heavens and the Earth, He set the time and places for all of us just to perhaps seek Him and reach out to Him. That reference is to Acts 17:27. The Holy Bible is the reason why I was born again. The moment I stepped foot into the waters of baptism was what gave my whole life meaning, newfound clarity, and resurrected revival. They say you lived out your prime years by the time you reached 25 years old.

“I say, “My God, do not take me away in the middle of my days, Your years are throughout all generations.” Psalms‬ ‭102:24‬.

I love all the people that have been reading my book and getting inspiration from it. It really lifts me up and lets me know that God is the reason why I am still doing this. Before all this, I was definitely not in a good place, but now I am. I got my degree, working again, going to church, and reading my Bible and praying every day. The things I do for others are only because God is in my life now, and I hope that each and every one of you finds a purpose that you can live for. Remember, without the storm, you’ll never see the grass that grows from the rain. Keep your roots strong in the Spirit. Amen.

Pushing Forward: 040922

“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, Nor will the flame burn you.” Isaiah 43:2

After having a good quiet time this morning where I read in Isaiah 43 and 44 then prayed to God. I prayed to God about a lot of things this morning. One was to deliver me from Satan’s grasps because he has been haunting my dreams lately. Another request was for me to go to Heaven, even though I fall from time to time. The third was for me to gain more understanding on His Word and know how to apply it to my life. Thus, the last one was to help me overcome my addiction to nicotine because I fell back to smoking cigarettes and vaping for a little while after I got a bad manic episode at the beginning of this year. Although I been using medical grade nicotine patches, I still pray to God for more healing and strength. My advice was if you ever find it in yourself that you want to relapse to something bad that you recovered from, just open up your Bible, read until your thoughts of relapsing go away, and pray to God for strength and healing. The day I chose to go back to smoking was a day I didn’t go to God in prayer and chose to numb out my troubles instead of seeking God first. Like Jesus didn’t take the gall when he was in pain at the cross, don’t take the nicotine to numb out the pain of anxiety.

But there is always Hope. Once I recover fully from nicotine through this treatment plan I’m going through, I will be back in full repentance and can allow myself to fully help those in need of help to come out of dire situations that they are facing. But remember this always, when God came down to Earth in the flesh of His Son, he bore everything that we go through, so never be afraid to call upon Jesus’ name who can help you in exactly the way that you need the most. Keep striving for tomorrow, and keep pushing through today.

Love You All and May God Bless and Renew You Like The Eagle. Keep Fighting With Fiery Faith. Always and Forever Till the End of the Age. Amen.

Birth of Creation: 041322

“He brought me up out of the pit of destruction, out of the mud; And He set my feet on a rock, making my footsteps firm.” Psalm 40:2

A wise man, by the name of John Barrow, once said, “If you never try, you’ll never know.” This week has brought a great many revelations to me like this one whereas in the past I would never think I would be in such a blessed yet good place to do what I am doing today. Finding yourself within the rubble is always a decisive task you must take on if you want to reach true peace in who you are as a person, and what you’re set to do in life with God’s purpose for you. True potential is what you need for the three W’s.

What. Will. Work.

What works for me is waking up every day, reading my Bible, praying, and looking to what my next objectives or goals will be for the day. Also organizing and planning everything. Plan, take initiative, and set in motion. All of these self-oriented roles you take on must be your steps in order to become a great leader for your own life, so you can start maturing and go past your limits that you subconsciously made for yourself. Everybody has a bubble they like to stay in, something that keeps you from reaching your true potential that expands your boundaries. But you have to pop that bubble if you ever want to move forward and achieve something truly great with your life. Sure, anxiety, depression, bipolar, schizophrenia, OCD, personality disorders, and mental disorders in general can bog you down and keep you from seeing the greatness that is inside of you, but you have to always remember that with God, anything is possible. Everything is made clear for those around you through your life endowed with your God-given gifts and talents. So never doubt, always have Hope.

Also keep this in mind, I have set in place three social media platforms: YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram, for you to follow, like, and subscribe for more Hope Against Hope related content. I have posted a YouTube video today at this link: https://youtu.be/MJ7gC6JypTM with my YouTube channel being Hope Against Hope. The Facebook and Instagram pages are under the handle @hopeagainsthopeHAH and I will be posting in those as correspondence to updates that happen with the other social media platforms or with this website and blog.

That’s all I wanted to leave you with for today, so I love you, and have a Good Friday and Easter this weekend. Keep having hope, Jesus loves you.

Working Out: 041622

“Take pains with these things; be absorbed in them, so that your progress will be evident to all.” 1 Timothy‬ ‭4:15‬

Good day to you again. The day is upon us to keep looking up to God, and stay diligent in our work. And I’m writing this while I’m working out on our stationary bicycle. First time multitasking like this. It’s great actually.

Knowing what He’s done, and what we’ve done goes to show how imperfect we are. The He I’m referring to is Him The Most High, Jesus, The King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Comparing yourself to other people, men, women, business professionals, athletes, celebrities, leaders, anybody that makes you feel imperfect there is actually a scripture in the Bible that says not to compare yourself to other people ( 2 Cor. 10:12). Only compare yourself to Jesus who was perfect so you can press towards His character.

Let go of this mentality that you need to quit on that person, that job, that church, that lifestyle and take the reins and hold onto that makes your spiritual growth worthwhile. If it’s not spiritually growing you then sure, do something about it, but stay learning God’s Word and keep praying to stay faithful.

Love,

   Amen.

Looking Up – 092822

“For a righteous person falls seven times and rises again, But the wicked stumble in time of disaster.”

‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭24:16‬ ‭NASB2020‬

Dear family,

I have come from a place of true joy to let you all know that there is still hope amongst us. The least of us can add strength to the weakest of us. We have seen through and through that the light in us will never get dimmed to spread the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ and our crusade grows ever stronger and mightier by the day.

Sure, some of us may stumble once in a while if not every day because no one is perfect. However, as the Lord is perfect, let Jesus Christ always be the anchor in your life and be the One that you look up to for true hope and peace and joy.

If you put your hope in mere human idols such as those that inspire hope in others, then you will always fall short of who you can be with God.

Remember this.
