A Story of hope & Redemption

I am not sure every addiction story ends well, but I want to tell you that there is always hope if you’re an addict, or suffering with mental health issues. By God’s grace and with a loving family standing beside you, you have odds on your side to come out of this mess. It is not too late, and today could be your first day towards recovery.

If you are the loved one caring for an addict, or someone struggling with mental health issues, there is hope for you. It is not easy see it when all you see is destruction and hopelessness in front of you, but there is hope.

My own family is a first hand witness to this. The outcome may not be to your liking, but one day you would be able to appreciate clinging on to this hope.

Many unsung heroes in my and other recovered lives are those of mental health advocates, champions in all forms, especially, doctors, nurses and social workers.

My dad and I decided to write this brief personal experience as a story to encourage those who are in the midst of this painful journey that one day you too may experience the joy of seeing a resolution.
